Description

This is a very beautiful handcrafted hand painted Southwestern Design Medium Talavera Cross from Mexico. Cross is 11 1/4 inches tall, 8 3/4 in wide and about 1/4 in thick. Cross is very heavy. Background bright mullticolored with colorful flowers design. Hole for attaching hanger or hanging with nail at top Will look great in your southwestern home decor. Made in Mexico Talavera Pottery Talavera was introduced to Mexico by Spanish guild artisans of the Colonial period. Known as "majolica" in Spain, Mexican Talavera draws its name from the 16th century Spanish pottery center, Talavera de la Reina, where imagination and persistence led to enormous strides in the world's knowledge of fine ceramics. Thus, while the intricate polychrome and more typical blue and white designs portray their old world legacy, the indigenous floral and celestial motifs featured on these pages claim the ceramics as classically Mexican. Most of the Talavera pottery offered by La Fuente Imports, including all plates, platters, and place settings, is made by hand in Puebla, Mexico, and is 100% lead-free as well as microwave, oven, and dishwasher safe. The detail is outstanding, and due to the kiln's high firing temperature all our Talavera dishware is also crack and chip resistant Check my listings for other Talavera crosses. large 4 click here to view other great Southwestern pottery designs

The item is beautiful, just as I had hoped. There was a small flaw that occurred in the framing process. When I mentioned this to the seller, she commented that she had not noticed this when she was packing the item for mailing. She and I easily agreed that I would send it back to her and she would address the problem. The seller was very nice to work with via email, and I would not hesitate to buy something from her again.

A great deal on some very nice, quality leather gloves for my son. Seller packed nicely and placed with post office promptly. Sadly, and through no fault of seller, US Post Office took 10 days to deliver, with package sitting at one location 4!business days with no movement. Ground Advantage is a disadvantage. As an eBayer since 2009, I’d rather pay more for First Class shipping.

This powderhorn arrived quickly and was well packed. it looks exactly as it did in the pictures and seems to be a genuine horn. It’s not a fake it’s well-made and looks good. I’ve never bought a powder horn before so I don’t know how much I should pay for one, but I’m happy to pay what I gave for it. I think it’s a really cool piece and I’m happy with my purchase .
