plates were in pretty good condition - did have some light scratching, but no nicks anywhere, however, they will be fine for extra plates to go with my 8 place setting. The delivery company was definitely rough on the box. I thought they would be broke when I saw it. Box was very smashed in at top on two sides and torn open some, however, the seller had wrapped very good with bubble wrap and none were broken!
