This is my first stainless steel dripper--used to use a ceramic with paper filters. It makes more flavorful coffee because there's no paper to soak up the oils, and I don't need to purchase filters. Cleanup is definitely more difficult, especially since I want to avoid dumping the grounds down the drain, which is not recommended. My only complaint with the design is the plate on the bottom catches some drops of coffee because it's flat, so I have to shake it to avoid dripping after the brew.
