Gorgeous and rare antique Royal Doulton 3 bone china demitasse cup and saucer sets in pattern designated as E9576 c1901-21 which were made in England and then imported by the prestigious jewelry firm, Arthur A. Everts of Dallas. These pieces are all in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, stains, undue pattern loss, etc. E9576 is a Victorian floral pattern with pink and mustard yellow flowers, aqua leaves and black touches with a rim of black and mustard. The bone china is extremely high quality (and slightly opaque) and the Royal Doulton trademark on back is verified by research as being pre-1922. The pattern number is hand written on the back of most pieces as is the notation re Arthur A. Everts Co. The saucer is approximately 4 1/2 inches in diameter and the cup is approximately 2 inches tall and 2 1/4 inches in diameter at rim. The Royal Doulton company dates to 1815, and bone china production dates from 1884. In 1901, Royal Doulton was granted the Royal Warrant by Edward VII and adopted the British Lion logo (the particular trademark on these pieces) and added "Royal" to their name. Arthur A. Everts Co. was a very prominent jeweler located on Main Street in Dallas, Texas from the late 1800's through the 1970's. It was co-founded by Arthur Everts and Edwin J. Fry. Everts was orphaned and raised by his uncle who started a watch repair business in Dallas and taught Arthur the jewelry trade. Arthur A. Everts Co. was one of the finest jewelers in the United States, on a par with Tiffany, Cartier, Marcus & Co., etc. They made and sold beautiful high end jewelry, and also sold sterling hollow ware and flatware, silver and porcelain gift items, and fine china tableware. After much research It appears that Royal Doulton may have made this particular pattern for import to the United States since it is somewhat rare and not readily available on replacement sites. I am in the process of downsizing and am selling a partial set of this china. Look at my listings for other pieces in this pattern.
